Missing Milk Packets
By Stephen Deepak
Missing Milk Packets, they go missing every morning,
Who dunnit?, the stealing act, none know it, happens all again.
Until a victim raises an alarm, one, two, three hands go up in unison,
sneakily stolen milk tea, sure tastes well in one's underbelly.
Tip Toeing comes this thief, one thug among equals,
Robs them at dawn, to save a few bucks, earns a curse or two.
Does it matter? a cheap thrill until one is caught,
Fuming residents, surely know the rut, the absence of a morning tea.
So it begins, the protection and scrutiny to ensure nothing more is stolen,
What if says one? like money, jewellery, kids! Oh! We can't regret.
So comes the CCTVs, guards patrolling, registers to sign in and out,
All's well, till someone raises an alarm, Oh Gosh! the milk packets are missing today, one, two, three hands go up in unison.
