I tell myself that it's only an obsession,

An infatuation,

An illusion.

I have the tendency to romanticize,

To magnify the ties,

To believe the mind's lies.

I try to rid myself of these baseless hopes,

To forget about you,

In whatever scope.

I want to let go,

I want to be sane,

I don't want what I can't hold,

I don't need the unnecessary pains.

So whoever is listening,

Can you please just help me out?

If I don't want to go down this rabbit hole,

Then what is all this noise about?
