Miracle

It was the first time when I saw you,

And I instantly fell in love with you.

You stole my heart when I first saw your eyes,

And I fell in love with someone of this size.

Your dark-brown eyes when met mine,

All I knew was that you were so fine.

At the first glance, your skin so fair,

I had to gasp for air.

When your hands wrapped around my finger,

But our interaction was left on a cliffhanger.

As I unwrapped my finger from your tiny hands,

The feeling was all new and grand.

Your innocent face when was in search for the sources of the voice,

I immediately squealed becoming the source of the noise.

Yet you unidentified me,

Oh, what a miracle are thee.

I still remember when I first held you in my embrace,

It felt as if it was such a grace.

It was as if I conquered the world and all the happiness,

And I decided to love you being so selfless.

People said you were my replica,

You became my Olinda.

I never saw the less of you,

You never ceased to amuse me.

We went through a lot,

And now we stick together, and it all seems to me a Jackpot.

We bicker back and forth a lot and it seems to never end,

And you get mad at me, but for how long can you pretend?

When you first clenched my finger in your little hand,

The fireworks started beforehand.

How small your pretty pinkish feet were,

Oh, how I wish you remained small how you were.

I wish to replay that moment of my life,

And erase all our strife.

I wish to love you forever,

And to leave you never.

All grown up as a 12-year-old girl now,

You grew up so fast, HOW?

Where did all the years go?

Where did those days go when you refusing to eat would run to and fro?

Oh, how naive was I to think that you and I are going to stay the same

But now I realize, it was Oh so lame.

How lame was I to think that you would remain the same little angel,

But little did I know you were growing to become an even more enchanted and beautiful angel.

You seek my help every now and then,

I still remember how you used run behind a hen.

Oh, dear good days,

I cherish those moments.

From your first step,

To you running around.

For you I was a help,

And you did wonders of a good amount.

Oh, my dear Miracle,

The more I understood you, the more I solved you as a puzzle.

And when I would sleep next to you,

In my embrace, you would snuggle.

My confusions about you always found a cure,

Yet you were so obscure.

When I see you smile,

In my whole world, it spreads a lively light.

When I see you give me the cute look,

I just happen to notice that you're a version of your own book.

When that face brings out the puppy eyes,

It happens when nothing is left for you to do except your cries.

You make me wonder,

Did we grow to being sisters from a stranger?

I never believed in Love at First Sight,

But when I saw you, you held my heart, Tight.

I'm ready to give you anything,

And I promise not to sing.

You be our Pride,

And to your rules, you shall abide.

On this day 12 years ago,

I met you, my sister, best friend and anything or everything I could wish for.

From my life and memories and body you shall never go,

For you I am the waves, and you are the Shore.

Happy Birthday Angel, I say,

To wish you everything on this day.

A lot to write and a lot to say,

But I've learnt that I love you more every coming and passing day...
