Poësie se gunstelingkind

bewaak sy boodskappe in woordewebbe

Simpel sinsdele

spreek etlike boekdele

wanneer hy sê:

Die roos is rooi –

die meisie is mooi

Die lug is blou –

iets word berou

Die blom is geel –

lag en speel

Met Metafoor

besef mens eintlik

eers agt besigheidsdae later

– feitlik –

wat hy nou éíntlik wou sê

en teen daai tyd

het jy al klaar in die verkeerde rooi rose belê.
