Mental Health In An Unequal World

Everyone asks "how are you?"

But no one can see through

The truth behind "I'm fine, Thankyou"

Internally i am not so fine

Cause i wanted to shine

And have a fancy glass of wine

But My bank balance was below line

Internally i wanted to impress

To a boy whom i can't express

Cause even with a pretty dress

I am a dark girl nevertheless

Internally i wanted the best career

In studies i am equally sincere

But i will always remain in the rear

As my caste doesn't match my peer

Internally i want a world of equality

To have a job and salary of quality

But who am i to question this mentality

When i am of the maternal sexuality

Mentally i am so very tired

Nothing ever makes me feel inspired

This feeling of being undesired

Fake smiles is what i have acquired

Society finally won in what they conspired
