Me vs Me

I lived my life as an outsider

Oh no, not in any physical capacity but in a mental one

Consistency was maintained

But in an incognito mode

I judged myself on every move

Scrutinising my every motive and action

Comparing it to the ones who were complete in themselves

So my cup was half filled

My shoes weren't mine but of thousands of others to whom I compared myself

My progress, never really mine, as it had the shadows of the "better ones"

My failures, completely mine, as I wasn't good enough as the others

So there goes my self confidence

To live in a shadow is worse than to lead a miserable life

And so here I stand, to embark a journey with the scrapes of ideas and intentions I call a personality

A hope and maybe a motivation
