Getting and spending we waste our powers . 

Little we see in nature that is ours; we have given our hearts away ,a sordid boon The world is too much  with us .It is a criticism of life in this modern mechanical world. The poem laments the fact that people  have become too materialistic and indifferent to the beauties of nature. They have given their hearts  away to the god of money
