Mason & Maya

The Sun silently Went down, as Mason and Maya rested in the swing,

And Maya softly asked Mason, “what thoughts have you been drinking?”

To this Mason sadly quoted “it’s of the lonely beings who wander in solitude I’ve been thinking"

“Oh my dear Mason, have you no brain, it’s the people who with all will choose peace over pain"

Mason looked down at the ground and mumbled “some people don’t choose, but still sole is all they've ever been”

“is it yourself dear Mason? Has loneliness stricken your heart, is that why you've been feeling low?"

The questions tossed at him caused a long silence, but after getting rid of the lump in his throat Mason uttered “no"

With a smirk on her face Maya questioned “when was the last time you lied Dear?” Mason smiled wistfully and replied “just a while ago"
