சமயம் பார்க்காமல் சமுத்திரத்திதை கடந்து,

கடினம் பார்க்காமல் கருமுகில்களை கடந்து,

உன்னை சந்திப்பதற்காக நான் செய்த செயல்களை நீ மறந்தாலும்,

உதகையில் உதிக்கும் மார்கழித்திங்கள் போல்

என் வாழ்வில் மலர்ந்த மாயை மங்கையடி நீ !

தரிசு நிலத்தை போல் தன்னை தானே

தாரைவார்த்து கொடுத்திருந்த என்னை,

தங்கத்தாமரை போல தத்தெடுத்த தாரிகையே !

குருதியில் மட்டுமே குளித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த என்னை,

உனது குறுஞ்செய்திகள் குளிரூட்டின !

உன் அன்பு அன்னையின் அன்பை போல் அளவற்றது.

உன் அன்பு என்னை அஃறினையிலிருந்து ,

ஓர் அற்புதமாக மாற்றியது

உன் அன்பிற்காக காலம் முழுவதும்

உன் காலடியில் காத்திருப்பேனடி.
