Luxuries I want
By M.Visalakchi
I want to cry,
Cry like the loudest person in the dark
To sack the pressure piercing through my mind
To melt the reverberating voices in the wind
But there’s something stopping me,
My eyes feel like a void gully, which ran out of drops.
I want to rest,
Rest melodiously on the rhythm of my song
Where the dawn is going to be me and my dreams
Where the next day I sculpt my own throne that gleams
But it hurts,
When I realise, it isn’t possible.
I want to talk,
Talk to a listening shoulder with a sagacious tongue
For a gush out of myself to bash the chain
For a sensible stroke of solace to lull the vein
But there’s no one next to me,
Except a poor soul who has melted enough for me.
I want to yell
Yell at those Muppets who think I need them
In order to eat my own food from my plate
In order to dress up myself to the gate
But I can’t,
I need those muppets to clear the path for my run.
I want luxuries
Luxuries that no one can buy me
Cause not all luxuries are things that are sold
Cause all luxuries can’t fetch me the real gold
But I’ll go on striving,
I believe the real gold is not too far from my hold.
