I want to let go of you but,

My trail dates just keep getting delayed.

I wish it could be easy but,

You lie enough for me to stay.

Loving you is an ongoing trail

You lie to me about your love

And trust me, I see it in your eyes.

You lie to me about your care

And trust me, I see it on your face.

Loving you is an ongoing trial

How long till my feet burn on this romantic fire walk

Out of fear of losing you?

How long till I need a new heart

While resuscitating my heart to beat for you?

Loving you is an ongoing trial

I hope to let go of you and love me more.

I hope to hear your lies and be honest with myself.

I hope to extinguish the fire before I lose my walk to happiness.

I hope to sign a DNR on you and CPR my bright future.
