“Desire is the root of all suffering”

the Buddha suggested.

The self is truly masochistic;

aware that love is all you want and hate.

A delusion that you cannot satiate.

“A sort of nausea in the hands” Sartre confessed.

A feeling uneasily digested.

So young, yet you mourn your potential.

Your dreams have been resigned

to a restless, grating echo.

One day you felt the sun, but you forgot:

You are a dead person inside a living body,

waiting to be buried.

You are your own rot.
