Love Is Not Enough

By Aashank Ambe

I loved her with all my heart,

And she loved me with all of hers,

Felt like we were meant to be together,

Months felt like years.

Even though we never fell out of love

we ended up growing apart,

Not being in touch was the only solution,

So that we could attempt a fresh start.

She moved on within a few months,

While I tried my best to move on,

But there was no looking back,

Since the best times had long gone.

I understood that it wasn’t meant to be,

But facing reality was tough,

Not sure if things could have been worked out,

But one thing I knew - Love is clearly not enough.
