Love before Our Time

My heart is aching

What can I do to stop it?

My heart is flaming

How can I extinguish it?

Why can’t anyone accept our love?

Why does everyone reject teen love?

How can one positively say

Teenage love is never meant to stay.

We strive and strive along a bumpy ride

Hiding sorrows and pains inside

Rejecting feelings true to the heart

Just so others have a peace of mind

Pain upon pain consumes my heart

Like restless flames that tear apart

Only one to extinguish this heart

Is you and your words of love.
