Love And Fate

Made of stone, somehow I'm tender now,

Fragile to touch, vulnerable from within,

Thought to have been forever alone now.

Gave up on life, on love and dream,

How I gave up on faith and innocence,

Is beyond me, yet I'm not surprised.

For I have suffered too much pain

Bestowed on me from a young age,

Subjected to ignorance, negligence,

I admit my love was in vain.

But you saw it all, didn't you?

You kept your eyes opened and prayed,

From afar you made my petite self stand

Tall and hail.

You knew all along, didn't you?

I hated to play the damsel in distress,

Waiting to be saved, From the wolves

Lurking in the dark, Were you

Superman without a cape?

You heard it all, didn't you?

You heard my screams and howling,

Late at night, my nightmares

Kept me woke till dawn,

I was afraid.

Knew how I felt, didn't you?

You're that friend I don't

Want to lose and accept.

Don't hurt me, my last ray of hope,

Before I submit it all to fate.
