Must I fall in love with you

All over again, at a single wink?

The way you write typos on purpose

So adorable they make me smile

And how your hair is so long -

A silent rebellion against society

One that I could admire forever.

My hands feel empty,

Whenever they are not holding yours

Just like the night sky is incomplete

Without the beautiful moon.

I long for your carefreeness

To compensate for my caution;

I long for everything mildly you

For only then do I wish to breathe

When I know you exist

And I bask in your sunlit love.

I could write about your grandiose

Till my hands are withered

And you use yours to steady them

But it isn’t just for love I am grateful to you

You have given me something to live for,

A ray of hope in a world of darkness.

Maybe that’s why I fight dragons

To reach the princess waiting for me

Cause others might believe in gods

And worship kings and saviours

But I?

I have faith in you.
