Losing love again and again and again..

Does every good thing make you wonder

How devastating it will be when it is over

I held your hand, you knew I never wanted to leave

Your arm on my shoulder

You knew for me there was no place better

I see you sit across me in a table for 8 far away

But you see me every minute glancing your way

A wicked weed growing in me

Will surely put me in misery

I take my chances

Everyone knows I like you

But you tell everyone you like her

Have buried my feelings enough times

To know right before when they should die

Your smile etched on my mind

My tears when for my birthday you couldn't find time

I would have been under your window

In my birthday dress, hoping to impress

Someone not mine, so I killed this thought

Then you showed up as surprise

Are you playing with my feelings or am I

A few months and you became my moon

Giving me smiles that I had lost to my kingdom that fell to it's doom

I was afraid of jumping

You held my hand and we floated

Carried my load

Called me Cinderella

We said goodbye

You said, it isn't the end

Held yourself together for me

Do I write about the good times

Or about the agony of living without you

Another scar from someone who was never mine

Showed me paradise, only to leave me in hell to pine

When will I ever learn, they always go

I am their good friend and nothing more

I will see myself die in their memories

And the light they once showed me

Will burn me each time I get close to something real

Does every good thing make you wonder

How devastating it will be when it is over
