Look around you

Is that pain?

No, it is an unfathomable change.

Change in the old version of you,

As the past falls apart.

As you ponder without any clue,

What in the future shall be your part?

Look around you

Is that betrayal?

No, it is the loss of the ungrateful.

The ones who don't deserve your support,

They lose the diamond and you the coal.

Precious are those emotions which don't deserve a contort,

Begin your life anew with a lesson and goal.

Look around you

Is that comfort?

No, it is a drug to subdue the fight.

An artificial world of ecstasy,

Where drowning into leisure brings peace.

As your heart weeps blood and your mind begs solitary,

The once clothed soul develops a crease.

Look around you

Is that depression?

No, it is your inability to accept.

To live with the lie,

That your wings make you forlorn.

It is good to aim high,

But wings flying lower don't decrease the beauty you adorn.

Look around you

Is that fear?

No, it is your ego that doesn't want mistakes.

Failing shouldn't embarass,

It is a part and parcel towards precision.

Neither should judgements harass,

Which are a product of oblivion.

People don't know your worth,

Keep working as you please.

Let people's opinions not reduce you to dirt,

Break away the emotional lease.

Optimism is the key,

And you shall see,

How with sheer dedication you swim out of the sea!
