Longing

The smell of soil after rain

The sound of rain thudding against my window

The pillow I turn to for comfort

The feel of hot coffee on my quivering lips

The waves of sea crashing on the rocks on shore

The light filtering through the canopy of walls I have built around myself

I don’t know why I have felt more safe in solitude than with people

May be you will change that

Or may be we will find our own solitude

On rainy nights like these

I wonder when will we meet

This longing in my heart

What should I call it.
