Living life through a lens

Living life through a lens

how wonderful it may seem,

Flawless beauty & absolute happiness

One can only, but just dream.

The need to get the perfect angle

the perfect shot without flaw,

So one can fantasize and long

for a life lived in awe.

But closed off & behind the lens

Is what no one really sees,

The imperfect eyes that hides the pain,

masks the hurt & always trying to please.

The lens becomes an oblivion

when the dash comes to an end,

What was the purpose of this life

why was it wasted on a pretend.
