We tell ourselves

To not ask

We tell ourselves

‘That’s how it is’

To not be

To not express ourself

A little lie

‘I am…. Superior’

To mock

To not feel Oneness

Oh, the little lies

‘Be an adult!’

When we find happiness

In the flowing streams

In a little sunlight

In a little smile

To think

Happiness doesn’t lie

In the simple things

Oh, what a life we live

Oh, Where;

Where is the innocence

Of childhood

Of life

Lost

Forever?
