Like A Feather

Settle gently on me like a wind-blown feather

As I hold your fleeting attention for moments.

The softness of your words with which you caress

my wounds, yet not staying till I entirely heal.

Perhaps, you’ve come only to soften my heart,

taking flight once you’ve accomplished the job.

To dare even ruffle your reality with my dreams

seems farfetched like the clouds of the expanse,

As it would never be airy enough for you,

and it would never be deep enough for me.
