“Light through the Night”

Why ponder if whether your train is still on track,

When you're the living proof someone could go through hell and back?

And instead of being cruel you still choose to be cool,

The kind of genuine radiant person full of light even

The perfect gift someone would wrap up nicely and tie with a pretty ribbon.

Quietly stitching up yourself piece by piece

Living a life surely not an easy mode,

even so,

you chose to turn the pain and sorrow into peace

Like the tea leaves you hand-picked those not to become your personality,

To become the warm-hearted breeze despite the reality.

Living proof that hardship doesn't need to steal your light

Believing the moon is always there throughout the silent night.

Like the wandering seed, led by wind that has just started growing

So don't minimise how far you've become 'cause you're still going

Don't ever let yourself dwell in doubt,

Be the reminder that you're the one who will always make it out.
