Lifes Liquid

Where there is liquid, there is life.

From my heart it comes,

A du-dum, du-dum, du-dum.

Through my cold veins it flows,

Where only dryness resides.

From my ears it beats,

A do, do-do, do-do.

A saviour, my life-blood pulsates

Around my desolate parchment-like bones.

Through my muscles and tendons,

It wettens the fading and foxing of my canvas.

A hero, my life-line pumps

Liquid back into me,

Materials and esse anew to stain my fingertips.

Through my eyes, it diffuses into my shrivelling cells,

Where blackness takes controlled shapes.

There is life, where there is ink.
