Life In A Dream
By Devansha Dhanker
I had fallen asleep,
Out of a tired day.
Suddenly I was in a woodland,
In a magical way.
A breath-taking fauna and flora,
Creating fresh and auspicious aura.
I am not aware of what’s there inside the green platter,
Nor I want to know what’s the outside matter.
I am unable to figure out,
My way throughout.
Oh!, it’s leading to some arid area,
With me having metathesiophobia.
Now I am standing in a desert,
With no option to revert.
Wandering through the sand,
I had to make the sun my friend.
Trying to search for water somewhere,
But there wasn’t anything except hot and sandy air.
Now the sun is setting,
And temperature is lowering,
To the extent that it’s the night dead chilling.
I am losing my body water and feeling unconscious,
To fall on the ground which is tophaceous.
Being covered by the sand I have renounced life,
And there is no will to thrive.
But I am again to the starting point,
With three rivers joint,
To finally quench my thirst.
With this I woke up to suspect,
Is this the life in which I am trapped?
If it is, then what the last scene expressed?
