When We're Ready

It’s not infatuation, nor a fleeting pang,

I’ve spent my days inside, alone, in a quiet clang.

Overwhelmed, searching for connection, I struggled, I fell,

Yet the Lord forgave me, uplifted me, and made me well.

The truth is, I love what’s inside you more than your pretty silent face,

The light you carry, held with honor, is full of unstoppable grace.

How would you feel if I told you, my girl,

I long to give you all my light, let our souls infurl?

Let us be connected, soul to soul, heart to heart,

A bond unbroken, never to part.

My love stands tall, steadfast and free,

Like Egypt’s pyramids, for all the world to witness.

The Cracks In Me

The sky wears blue as a passing robe.

Then drapes itself in the dark when no one’s watching.

You move, and verses learn how to walk

your silence lands like birds too gentle for cages,

your voice finds the cracks in my drought

and teaches them how to drink.

Even roses forget its name beside you.

Your eyes keep a crimson dawn captive,

as if they lit the first fire and called it morning.

My love sits deep as sleeping stone,

cut once by grief, polished by waiting

unspoken ore that trembles

for palms that do not lie.

Light That Refuses The Dark

Roses wear beauty guarded by thorns,

violets wear beauty that does not demand attention.

The sky turns blue, then surrenders to darkness.

Sugar is sweet on the tongue, like the memory of you.

Morning hues come gentle,

like your presence.

Your face shifts like distant cities

I have not yet visited in my mind.

You move like a light refusing the darkness.

Your eyes are like meteor showers breaking through the night.

You are words and verses drifting through endless corridors.

Emergency Inside My Mind

I have seen you in my mind, where you move in quiet elegance, untouched by noise.

I try to pull you closer, but you drift like distance has its own will.

Each day I learn something new, yet it only brings more questions than peace.

Take my heart, keep it safe or let it go; it no longer knows how to be quiet, only how to echo.

It’s simple, don’t get too close.

I am not dangerous, only afraid of becoming too much for you to hold.

I think I will keep the house locked, so nothing spills out of me that I cannot control.

This is not a love poem for you

It is an emergency inside my mind.

The Radio of Distant Love

In the late hours, you drift through my mind like unspoken prayer.

In winter’s cruelty, even you begin to leave me

fading like the last light that refuses to fight the dark.

Your voice feels distant, like a fading radio signal

and every verse feels empty without the love we knew.

What we built rests like a bird’s nest in waiting

steady with care, woven from gentleness.

And I find myself wanting to hold you close,

not to trap you,

but to keep you safe from the wind.

Let your words become nourishment for my dull soul,

singing me quietly, as gentle as a dove moving through still air.

The Light You Left Within Me

Poems written every morning,

where I am at peace.

In dreams, I see you standing like an orchid, quiet, rare, and unreachable.

My voice may not return to you, but

I will remain, listening in silence.

Remember the love we built from nothing, and the light you left within me.

Even when light reached me, I fled, returning to the comfort of darkness.

Let your voice be the uplifting of my soul, not as a saviour, but a comforter.

Run away, I may be too much for you to hold.

Keep yourself safe from my storms though I never asked you to stay.

I Will Come Back

Wait here, I’ll return when the earth is silent.

I know I may not matter much, but I’ll come back.

I feel distant from my own worth,

I am distant, yet somewhere inside me, I’m still learning safety.

They step back when I start to crack, like my pieces might cut them too

Matter of fact, I never asked for help when my thoughts got louder.

I don’t reply to messages, but the truth is I rarely receive them.

If I find the path again, will you come with me?

These poems are the only things keeping me alive while I'm drowning.

Look at the moon it speaks something I don’t yet understand.

Sincerity In My World

You move like softness

through my unsteady world.

You move, and even roses

forget where gentleness began.

Your smile arrives

like sunlight breaking through clouds,

and your voice feels

like breathing morning air.

Your presence appears

like a rainbow

after an unforgiving storm.

My Poetry

I will be the poet, and you will be my poetry.

My love for you will only survive as a metaphor.

Verses learned to tame,

stanzas learned to speak your name.

I carry your heart like a sacred trophy.

You appear as though the sun has found its will in you.

The universe itself seems to be shaped by your beauty.

Beyond Words Could

I saw through your smile,

saw beauty beyond what words could describe.

Your light shines so bright,

It blinds me.

Is this what they mean by love being blind?

As though the sun has landed with faithfulness.

A rare treasure, warmth in a passing breeze.

Words that taught me to see again,

night passes by as if it knew light is present.
