Letter To Myself

By Pooja Gupta

Hey there warrior!

The world may not always see you as one, but I sure do. The battles you've lost and the battles you've won, I've known them all. And I'm proud of you, of all the battles you've fought, even the ones that didn't see the light of victory, because I know you did your best, you always do.

When you lay wide awake until sunrise, staring at the windowpanes, turning up the music so loud that no one can hear you screaming. I do, hear you weep, and watch you stand back up, taller than ever before, ready to fight the next fight, stronger, braver, and ever more courageous.

Yes, it's alright for you to cry yourself to sleep. But no, it's not alright for you to give up. Because you're the warrior I've known, and I've not known any warrior stronger than you, or more precious than you.

You're the twinkle of my eye. And each time the thought of giving up crosses your mind, get back to the battleground and fight. Fight for me, because you're my sunshine, my ray of hope. So fight, and be kick ass victorious.

- Your loving self.
