Letter To My Year Old Son

By Mrinalinee

Dearest Piu,

Nothing works until we do.

A change doesn’t feel good at first, in fact uncomfortable. But slowly, the transformation takes place, although gradual and you find yourself half way through it already.

Everything open has to be closed, whether bank accounts or cooperative society.

Everything which starts, eventually ends, be it relationships or any other thing.

Everything that hurts us, eventually heals, be it wounds or stitches.

A laser sharp focus cuts down many things and saves us from a lot.

If God is so kind to forgive so many of our mistakes, we must be forgiving too.

Forgiving is freeing.

God has made you extremely strong, mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Do small acts of kindness, whenever possible.

Words are powerful. They are magic. They can uplift spirit. Touch without touching. Embrace without hugging. Always be cautious of such power.

Anything wrong is wrong. We must always strive to do the right thing.

“Dharmo rakshati rakshitah.”

Having someone by your side is okay. It feels good.

But what makes successful people stand apart is that they make things happen, by themselves. Their sheer nature, their resilience.

A complete annihilation also gives the chance to bounce back smarter, stronger and in a powerful way. Like the grand Phoenix, rising from one’s own ashes and pieces. Creating everything they want and rightfully deserve.

Life throws curve balls to each one of us. How we act, react and respond and make choice defines who we are!

God bless you amazing soul.

Lots of love,

Maa
