Letter To Me

By Tejaswini

Dear Me,

I wish you didn’t have to put a mask on because people around you dont understand you. I wish you would find acceptance in some corner of the world. I wish that you don't pour yourself into people who don't deserve you. I wish that your dreams weren’t called useless daydreams. I wish that you didn't have to feel bad everytime your clothes didn't fit you. I wish that you didn't have to find an escape from reality. I wish that you didn't have to lie to maintain your sanity. I wish that you had a space to fall apart into a thousand pieces safely when you want to.

I wish that you have friends close to you. I wish that you didn’t have to feel guilty everytime you wanted to do something for yourself. I wish that you didn’t have to feel as if talking about yourself is a burden to people around you. I wish that you didn’t have to look at food and think how many calories it has. I wish that you weren't trying to mask your depression and anxiety. I wish that you had a moment where you fully accepted yourself. I wish that you were happy. I wish that you were loved the way you deserve. I wish that your dreams became reality.

Signed,

Me
