Let Me Take You For a Walk
By Ishika Kachhwaha
Come around
I'll take you for a walk
Through thoughts and desires
In the lanes of moments.
As our feets move
Side by side
A parallel melody building up
On the ground,
I'll move my hand a little briskly
To tell your skin that I'm here around.
We'll walk along the pathway
Amdist the green isle
In the embrace of the mountain
Like the Sun and the Sky.
We will walk hand in hand
Warmth and cold mingling
Like the celestial moment
For which the world has been waiting.
We will visit the old village
a little in, little around
Over where the past lives
Burried in the ground.
The air could be eerie,
Medling with our minds
Rising up could be ghosts
Wearing pale clothes of time.
We will walk into the dense
into the depths of roots,
We will take all those gems,
With the future incarved clues.
And it could be a little grey
Away from our green walk,
But I'm sure when we find our way back,
We'll be richer than we thought.
And back on the pathway,
Maybe I'll let your hand free
There could be pretty trees
Clad with Pineapples and blueberries.
Yeah could be a bit hard
to carry them along
But I can imagine your gayish smile
When after gourmandising,
We'll dance to your favorite song.
And we'll walk along the pathway
Zig zag with our shoes,
A cat and a dog playing
For some idiotic poet's muse .
I might try to climb a tree
For I'm a lover of heights
And I know that you'll catch me
If I fall from the leapt of flight.
And if you want to sit under a canopy
I will sit by and hold you close,
Or you could rest your head against my knee
As you read out loud Majaz's prose.
Then we will walk again,
We'll find a stairway to heaven;
And if the sun feels too harsh
A race against the wind to Savour the moment?
It could be tiring, that run
But we'll have each other to lean on
And when the evening air sends chills,
We'll hold each other and keep warm.
We will walk
Sometime in silence,
When we reach the mountain top,
The world could see us
And we'll look at eachother,
The most beautiful abendrot.
The night would be dark,
But we won't be scared,
We'll lie there on the grass
Under the stars' stare
Pull your arm our for me?
For I'll rest my head
Our breaths in unison
And our fingers twisted.
And we will talk about the future,
What lies ahead beyond the stars,
And as far as our eyes could reach,
There would be our names in each other's hearts.
In the calm serenity of the stillness,
Against the racing time,
We'll steal a nap and at the break of dawn
With the sun we'll rise.
The leaves will sing,
With the whispers of the wind,
Reverberating the beatings of our victory song,
See how far would the walk take us,
We would have marked our castle
Started from just a door.
Then we will walk again,
Find another road,
For the walks and stories are endless as time,
And maybe we could write a poem at the end of each walk,
Against different backdrops
But they'll always rhyme.
So,
Let me take you for a walk?
