Let Me Take You Back

So let me take you back

I'll whisper crazy innocence in your ears and you run with a precious secret of mine

I'll put some stones together for us to play where our imagination would colour and reshape them into the humongous struggles

We'll laugh and laugh until our belly aches and frown upon the calls that our moths make

The ultimate good bye until night do us apart for the next morning to come and knock us out of our beds all ready for us to live our part which is cut out

This was what we called problems

Then we'll grow up and have a first crush

The flowers in us blooming again to see our beloved walk through in the uniform

To meet them besides school was serenity and we basked in the feeling of love for the first time

Our friends elbowing us on their every move and we gushing and blushing all red with happiness

So let me take you away from your deadlines and long hours of hollow self reflection

Into the days where one class missed was the biggest fears and the low scores would fill us with tears

Where everything was masquerading as special moments cut out straight from the best of novels and we would bloom in the light
