Let Me Go
By Shruti Mishra
My mind is in a constant need for liberation
It demands new sets of people
A different surrounding
A place I have never been to
Every time I see a hurt
Being tendered to me
Gently, softly wrapped in an apology
I know it is propelling me gradually towards a quietus
But the only quietus I need
Is from this chaos.
Because my mind is in clutter
And this clutter is not my own
I don’t seem to recall The time I opened my doors for all sorts of emotional baggages, barmecidal promises, tokens of love and all things false and fake. rushing into my system calling my sanity their home. I need an emancipation A liberation From bondages That cage my mind For my mind is a wanderer my highs are my highs and my lows are my lows it’s nothing yours to claim it’s all mine to own My mind doesn’t need your diagnosis You are not my solution, so better let me go. Let me break free.
