Let it go

Why do you hold on to what breaks your soul? To people who leave you feeling nothing less than whole? You call it love, but it feels like pain

Like dancing in fire, again and again.

Maybe you learned love had to be earned

That peace was a prize, not something returned So you stay, you bend, you give, you fold

Just to feel wanted in a world so cold.

You confuse the silence with something deep, Call it connection but it makes you weep.

You think it's strong cause it feels so right,

But real love should feel like light.

So maybe it's time to let it go,

To plant your peace and let it grow

Because if you have to lose yourself to stay, It was never love anyway.
