A beautiful sunrise, chirping of birds and an amazing tulip garden in front of her eyes,
She was about to touch the flowers….
Alas….
The alarm rang and she had to wake up
The dream said, ‘Oh wonderful life, give her some more moments and let her fly!
It was the time she could fasten up for the whole day
She was ready to cook, just that the tea had to be made; kid had to be woken up
And there was that toys' mess to be cleaned up which was made yesterday …
Breakfast was served, lunch was packed
And her tea cup was still lying on the table
The tea cup smiled & said, ‘Oh sweet life, let the chores just pass by,
Give her a chance and let her fly!
School bus arrived & the kid had to be rushed.
That messy bun was too messy, she didn’t realise
Those tangled hairs said, ‘Oh joyful life, give a pause and let her fly!
It was her office time, she got ready
Tried her best to look neat and tidy.
Now it was the lunch hour,
She opened her bag only to realise; she forgot the box in home.
Her desk uttered, ‘Oh busy life, give her a break and let her fly!
Evening when she returned home, someone was waiting for her eagerly…
Who do you think it could be?
It was that piled up laundry…
Those dirty clothes said, ‘Oh pleasant life, spread the fragrance of freedom & let her fly!
It was the time to play with kid,
What to prepare for dinner was on back of her mind..
That messy kitchen looked at her and said, ‘Oh selfless life, take a moment and let her fly!
She served the dinner, fed the kid,
After that bedtime story, she could hardly speak;
She sat for her dinner, lost in deep thoughts
What to prepare for tomorrow's breakfast?
A little bit of support, a little bit of praise,
A little bit of love, a little bit of care,
And she thought she needed a shoulder to cry!!!
It was all dark, she looked out through the window in a vacant space;
She took a deep breath and let the cool breeze touch her face;
Those shining stars looked at her and asked,
‘Oh dear life, you have given her wings;
But……
Why don't you let her fly?
Why don't you let her fly?
