Lessons From A Spark

Running towards fire, it kept me awake The way it burned, the way it flamed But on a lost but seamless day Where I found you glowing in dismay.

It told me to be strong, it told me to be bold It told me to shine stronger than it’s own It told me not to die but hold onto every night It told me “I won’t be alone” just not together at that time. The fire taught me all that I know Shades of colors changing from dark to bold Fame and glory all shattered at once For as they say “ Good things come and go” The fire was pretty but it was too dark to stay home.
