Sitting under a tree

On a night full of stars

They all shine so bright

But why do I feel so dull and light

I keep having this fight

I forget I am unique and different

I don't need to be flashy and vibrant

I just need to be me

For all to see

To all these demeaning feelings

Why do I surrender

When I shine a incandescent misty lavender
