Last Seven Minutes

I am trapped in my head

On a time machine that seems to be reviewing my life

It brings me back to the day we met

Then to when you promised this will never end

But just as a smile starts to creep in

It takes me to the time that makes my head spin

The storm was pouring and you were yelling at the top of your lung

I couldn’t say a thing because I knew what was about to come

That night you left

And I am crying on the time machine begging to return to the day we met

But it takes me to another stormy night

This memory feels new and I can only see a bright light

I hear you yelling again and it gives me déjà vu

Conflictingly this time you are telling me to stay and keep looking at you

With your every teardrop its getting hard to breathe

Then I see the car that crashed into me

I close my eyes and wait for another memory to start

But this is where my heart gives up
