La Justice Injuste
Je me tiens debout, face à elle.
Silencieuse. Imposante. Incontestable.
On dit qu’elle est aveugle, qu’elle ne tremble jamais.
Qu’elle ne fait aucune différence entre les hommes.
On dit que la justice est juste.
Pourtant, je la sens partout.
Dans chaque regard baissé, dans chaque souffle retenu.
On dit que la loi est la même pour tous.
Mais certains arrivent avec des avocats, et d’autres avec le silence.
Certains parlent fort, d’autres n’ont même pas le droit de finir leur phrase.
Comment parler de justice quand l’argent ouvre des portes que la vérité ne peut même pas pousser ?
Je regarde cette balance immobile, censée représenter l’équilibre du monde.
Le silence tombe : lourd, définitif.
Et dans ce silence, je comprends que quelque chose ne fonctionne pas comme il devrait.
Je pense à ceux qui ne sont pas entendus.
À ceux dont les mots se perdent avant même d’être compris.
Est-ce cela, l’égalité ?
Une justice qui ne voit pas tous les hommes peut-elle encore s’appeler « justice » ?
Je vois des vies se décider en quelques mots.
Des destins enfermés dans une phrase.
Mais si la justice se trompait ?
Et si elle se trompe…qui la juge, elle ?
Je me répète ces questions comme une prière sans réponse…
La balance tremble.
Les mots tombent comme des coups.
Et dans le silence qui suit, je comprends quelque chose de terrible :
Ce n’est pas toujours l’homme qui est jugé…
Parfois, c’est la vérité elle-même.
Alors je me lève, et j’ose demander :
Si la justice peut être injuste…
Qui nous protège de la justice elle-même ?
