बोल देती है दुनिया मुझे की आसान है मेरा लिखना

क्या ख़ास है इसमें ऐसा जो कहती हो तुम इसे अपना ?

पर लिख सको तुम भी तो अपने दिल की बात लिख लेना

अगर मिल जाए लफ़्ज़ तो ख़ुद को ख़ुशनसीब समझ लेना,

हाँ कहती हू मैं इसे अपना....

क्योंकि तुम्हारे लिए ये शायद आसान है

पर मेरे लिए यही मेरा आराम है

एक इंतज़ार है

और वो अधूरा सा प्यार है।

जो शायद कभी पूरा ना हो सका

जिसका पूरा होना शायद मेरे लिए ख़ुशी बन जाता

और ख़ुशी और मेरी ज़्यादा बनती नहीं है

इसीलिए जाने दिया ...... नए वक़्त को आने दिया

मैंने इंतज़ार करना छोड़ दिया है

अपने दर्द को लफ़्ज़ों में मोड़ दिया है

शायद आसान है मेरा लिखना

क्योंकि मेरी कलम ने मुझे समझा है

और आपको दुनिया मैं कोई समझे

ऐसा हमेशा नहीं होता है
