Kingdom Of Honesty.
By Shashwat Thakur
What can I do
In a place where kinship is lost
And friends are yet unidentified,
Or friendship is rather scattered as fragments.
The house of perpetual love
Is engulfed in flames of sorrow
The subdued ones are in search of the kind-hearted,
Trying to reduce the unbridgeable distance between us.
Nothing remains but ignominy.
Fortunately, it ain’t bereavement;
But your ceaseless absence has left a void in me.
There is a huge hollow which makes my heart heavy.
Nothing remains but memories.
Friends like us fight over petty issues
Without a pragmatic approach to solve problems.
When everything is over, it is nothing less than an Apocalypse.
I am stuck with grief, without space
In between two islands fraught with mischief.
With nowhere to go, I dwell in my kingdom of honesty,
Filled with valiant vigour to revive cordiality.
I am honest and without regrets,
With a will to forgive and a hope to reunite.
I still feel that we are connected and inseparable.
You are endearing and your absence has brought me to a standstill.
Everything is falling into ruins,
Fading at twilight into the darkness of time.
Rhapsodies of praise are raptures of the past.
Fake flatterers are the winners of the present.
I tried a lot to unfold the mystery
But whatever it was - it is now just history.
Nothing is left but hopes that build my kingdom of honesty.
Nothing is left but truth that builds my kingdom of honesty.
I dwell in my kingdom of honesty;
And I shall gratefully accept my fate
And whatever is endeavoured
By the utmost entirety of my undying efforts.
