Kindness For The Hardworking

Some people have it on their face,

the exertion of trying, struggling and breaking.

Their forehead lined with 3 creases,

skin chiselled with the anxiety.

Their eyes always heavy,

speaking volumes of pain, they have been through.

The smile, tension bound and gawky

as if the lips have forgotten to stretch and laugh.

If, at once, you hug them with a little warmth,

you can feel them melting.

And like an innocent child, they crumble in your arms.
