Just The Two Of Us
By Chinmaya Chawhan
I don't want to be popular, Just want to be noticed by her. I don't want to be visible, Just wander around being her silent lover. A fully air conditioned room Feels warm in her presence; Her almond shaped diamond eyes Follow my every chase. I look away when she catches me staring, But when our eyes meet, my heart won't stop fluttering. I call out her name in many ways, Try to catch her attention by being amongst her friends.
Oh how I wish for her to take care of herself;
While I’m away, miss in life my essence In this room, they know but she doesn't; I want it to be rain and just the two of us. When she sits right across me Talking to somebody, I sigh with relief at her sight; Try to flee But she's the rock that anchors my flight.
So open hearted, She changes expressions quite frequently; Eats like a little bird, I could forever serve her cute majesty.
Her morning sunshine smile keeps me abord, Her sweet yet sad goodbyes always catch me off-guard. She is someone I can blindly trust, While there's rain and just the two of us. She is the first one that appears when I'm worried over things, The relieving rain to my thundercloud; Love emits whenever she blushingly grins And talks about her favourite topics out loud. Her cold hands make my fiery heart shiver, I never shift for anybody but she's making me change phases every second. I keep find chances to touch her, in private and public; Her every little flinch in both approval and denial drive me close towards insanity. An arcane soul, doesn't overindulge; I always find her writing in a brown diary; I wonder if it's me, running in her thoughts When she's sitting by the window, back turned towards me. In this magical and fateful coincidence We are progressing too quickly; Being beside her is becoming my priority when she's lonely, My favourite activity is now observing her closely. Her voice is the music to which I cling, Her name is the song I very lovingly sing, While nobody surrounds us... There's rain and just the two of us.
