Journey Away From Home

The yet to rise Sun had

a drumroll for his arrival

through the tangerine sky.

The moon slowly sinking

into the depths of the

horizon with a fading

blueberry blue painted

across in pieces cannot

be recreated by mixing a

palette full of rainbow

hues.

The gushing summer breeze

gusting through the half drawn

tinted windows gently carried me

further away.

The silence breaking the

dawn is nostalgic,

ironically bringing back

the loud memories.

The dew drops from

the freshly cut grass

carried by the flurry of

air tried to calm the

lost mind pushing me

away from the chaos.

Journeys away from home

during these twilight

morning hours always

weigh more and perhaps,

that's why the nature's

affair lasts for mere

moments.
