The "Hard to Swallow" Pill

We all have had to accept,

Pointless things that we from people expect,

While effort or emotions shall reciprocate,

Excuses that they dare state,

Those regrets will always dwell,

Reminiscence only makes the heart swell,

Of people - too busy, negligent yet sweet,

You,Longing for how they used to greet,

Circumstances where you wished,

Their words to be true..had they done the deed,

Perchance,if they could make time,

If you wouldn't have said "It's fine",

Would this loneliness have eaten away?

Rotten this creature to this measly state?

Second-question your "bestest" tries,

Undefeated, hope you held high,

Yet,it all comes to nothing more than what you could have done,

Letting it go; you couldn't have blamed none,

Since they could have said,

*You are more important" , but they didn't,

Oh You thirsty soul! Seeking love!

A desert, no one could see the end of!

No matter what, no matter who,

Says what is needed and does what one must do,

Or validates the truth within you,

Holds you close just like you do,

Will it be enough ? Will it ever?

The one cursed with dearth forever!

It will be only tears and sobs in that abyss,

Unless, you forgive what you are, that is.

Believe their good will

And you shall make peace,

Yet what deeply hurts once

It will agonise you and it forever will

So if cherished you aren't as you wish,

Let them decide : to forget or to keep,

Remember : "In their hearts,if you were worth a thought,

While catching breath, your name would be sought",

Despair but be patient with what you feel,

It will pass,overcome with zeal,

Embrace it all , in all its entirety,

One day,it will be a memory , written beautifully...

Transform it into strength,your identity,

One day, they will be past, just memories,

Remembered and laughed lightheartedly...
