Once in a while,

when I log into my Facebook

all I see are the posts shared by my friends

of their engagements,

of their weddings,

of their child births,

of their anniversary celebrations,

each post is a capture

of everything I desire for myself,

which seems so normal for them

but seems so far away and out of reach for myself.

So, with an anxious heart

without scrolling down for more heartbreaks

I log out

as if to shut down

the brewing jealousy of despair I feel

because of the fear of missing out.
