Jaded

Jaded.

Am I the only one who feels faded?

Am I the only one who feels hated?

Am I the only one, am I the only one

That feels like nothing’ll change,

Like me and happiness’ll never engage,

Like me and misery are stuck in a cage,

Like me and hopelessness are sharing a stage?

Why do I hate the person I became?

Why does it seem like I’m going insane?

Why does it seem like there isn’t an aim?

Why does it seem like there’s nothing to gain?

Maybe there is, and I’m just going mad.

Maybe there is, and I’m just being sad.

Maybe there is, and I’m just being ruthless.

Maybe there is, and I’m just being clueless.

I don’t really know, I don’t really know.

Maybe that’s the reason why I’m always so low.

I don’t really know, I don’t really know.

Maybe that’s the reason why I’m struggling to grow.

What is the purpose of looking for purpose when what’s on the surface is telling me “no”?

What is the meaning of looking for meaning when what I’ve been seeing is me as a foe?

MXM.

I’m way too young,

Way too young to be feeling this numb,

Way too young to be feeling this old,

Way too young to be feeling this cold.

Sometimes I think that the world would be better if someone like me would’ve never been born.

Sometimes I’m grateful for feeling like nothing and going through something that’s leaving me torn.

Just told my father I love him. I hugged him, went back to my room, then I started to cry.

Started to think about what he’s dealing with that no one’s aware of; it’s hard to deny.

I used to be ignorant, giving him problems that I couldn’t realize were taking a toll.

And what’s even worse is the fact that I knew that I took advantage of a beautiful soul.

Hole is how I’ve been feeling.

I’m like an addict with the way I’ve been dealing.

The music is dope, the lyrics are coke,

And I get high off of whatever I wrote.

Only issue is it doesn’t resolve

Any issue that I struggle to solve.

That’s why I’m distant from being existent.

I’m fearful of living and getting involved.

I don’t expect you to get where I’m at.

I don’t expect you to get what I rap.

I don’t expect you to get what I’m saying, ‘cause what I’m displaying is very exact.

It isn’t for you; I do this for me.

I’m tryna reflect on whatever I see.

I’m tryna reflect on the way I’ve been moving, the way I’ve been viewing the man I should be because-

God, what do I do?

I need a remedy, I need a clue.

I need a melody, I need a stu’-

Nah, what I’m really needing is You.

I wish I could tell You I wasn’t a mess.

I wish I could tell You I wasn’t depressed.

Everyone’s happy and living a life that feels impossible for me to possess.

I’m starting to wonder why I’m even here.

Life is a vehicle I struggle to steer.

Think I should leave it for You to relieve it, ‘cause my way of living doesn’t persevere.

I’m tired of feeling the way that I feel.

It’s probably why I’m resisting to heal.

It’s probably better to stop holding on and give You the power of taking the wheel.

‘Cause I’m too-
