It Is You, My Pain

You are the whimper in my sobs

A murmur in my words, you are

You bleed pain from my wounds

An ache in my heart, you remain

You wrap me with a dark smoke

Cold piercing fumes, you radiate

You flow venom through my veins

A curse in my blood, you circulate

You rain misery to my salt waters

A drop in the eyes, you maintain

You trade with me my emotions

In the markets of ego, you barter

You brandish my ruins on your ribs

My trampled dead soul, you flaunt
