Intoxication
By Nisha Murali
Lighted a cigar, he leaned by the headboard
Caught a glimpse of her amid the half-shut doors
Her dusky skin shimmered, from the twilight
Sneaking into the hallway despite those drapes
She sensed his stealthy sight, yet acted quiet
She was a beauty preserved in his arms
His intoxication was her fragrance
His anxiety peaked, on her appearance
The bed undone, an aura of romance remained in the room
Reminiscing those very moments when he
Hastily unfastened her to only realize she was a goddess in disguise
Grabbed her by those curves, he fell into the depths of the sensuous
Clasped her arms with his, heard her sigh
Her luscious long hair tangled between his finger rifts
Drops of wet gleamed on her neck,
She breathed swiftly, as he conquered her underneath him
That was a passionate love, he gasped
It was only a while ago, still can’t get enough of her
Oh my! Is she a dream? He thought and simpered
