Into A Child's Head

It’s funny how a small child

can make you laugh so loud.

In this world full of tears,

He could turn your sadness upside down.

I often wonder, how does one laugh so much

Without worrying about anything else.

Is it the love? he receives from everyone?

Or his dreams? where he meets a new version of himself.

He goes on adventures every single night

and converses with the monsters under his bed.

He is always excited to sneak under,

As he says ‘there’s nothing to be afraid.’

I once told him,

that the people are not good, if you look out

and he held my hand

and pulled me in a world, I had never heard about.

I fell in a long burrow

Which never seemed to end

And arrived at an unending palace

Where I made Mr. mad hatter my friend.

I met harry potter

And swayed at Mr. Holmes,

Met Enola on my way

And danced to a thousand different songs.

I picked up the magic mirror

And it had something to say.

When I went closer,

A deep message it conveyed.

“You know this world can be yours,

If you stop thinking about every action you do.

Just climb on and on,

And your problems will bid adieu.

Just don’t leave any pages blank in your book,

For it is one life you’ve got,

Make the best out of it

And give every opportunity your perfect shot.”

It’s funny how a small child

can make you realize so much

In this world full of darkness

Beautiful colours he can smudge.

I often wonder how does one laugh so much,

Without worrying about anything else.

Is it the love he receives from everyone?

Or his dreams

where he meets a new version of himself.
