Inseparable
By Rucha Oke
He looked at her with gleaming eyes,
Unsure, whether she would like.
He knew, he had to ponder;
As she looked at him, in wonder!
They hooked on to each other as they talked;
And for hours, there was only laughter.
She had something in mind,
Amused, mysterious, captivating of its kind.
She did reciprocate,
For the smile he gave,
For the care he showed.
One doting word, and his day was made.
It felt inseparable,
From the choices they had;
From thoughts they shared.
To the sorrows they gulped,
And the smiles they exchanged!
Friendship was different this time,
So genuine and real!
Keeping their fingers crossed,
they walked their journey, surreal of its kind!
